City of Preston shut down by storms
Severe weather conditions in Preston in 2007 led to the complete closure of Fishergate, Chapel Street, Lune Street, Corporation Street and other roads, as storm damage to buildings rendered the city centre unsafe. A1TM carried out a major incident support role, responding rapidly to the call. Working closely with Preston City Council, they were able to attend emergency meetings, assist with planning, and suggest a range of cost effective options. A1TM maintained the closures around the clock for nearly a week.

A1TM keeps Britain Flying
Following the terrorist attacks and the subsequent closure of Glasgow Airport in 2007, A1TM was engaged by Manchester Airport to provide traffic management for the new road markings directing passengers to secure drop-off points. The main contractor was Bethells and A1TM’s in-house traffic management consultancy and design team arranged various lane closures in traffic sensitive areas of the airport. With good planning and teamwork, disruption to air passengers was kept to a minimum and Manchester Airport were happy with the service provided and the response time.
